Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Look How Far. We wrote them in plain words. Version of 2 November 2026.

Who we are

Look How Far is provided by MOUNTAIN TROPHY - UNIPESSOAL LDA (NIPC 517423170), Rua Daciano Baptista Marques BL 1.º, n.º 59, 4º Dto., 4400-617 Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Questions: hello@lookhowfar.com; about personal data: privacy@lookhowfar.com.

What the app is, and what it is not

A shared diary about a child for the child’s parents, with an AI assistant that answers from your own records.

It is not a medical service and does not replace a doctor, therapist or other specialist. The assistant gives general information; it does not diagnose, does not prescribe treatment and does not choose medicines or doses. It can make mistakes — check important things with a specialist. In an emergency call 112.

Who can use it

Adults only: you must be 18 or older. A family is opened by a parent or legal guardian of the child. Other adults join only by the family’s invitation: the second parent, a teacher or a specialist. You confirm that you have the right to add information about the child.

One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in; tell us at once if someone else got access.

Your records

What you add stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run the app for your family, including the AI assistant under the consents you gave in the app. Who sees what, what goes to the AI and how to delete it — in the Privacy policy.

Keep the originals of important documents: the diary is not an archive with a guarantee.

What you must not do

  • add information about a child you are not responsible for, or about other people without the right to;
  • upload anything illegal or anything that harms the child or other people;
  • try to get into other families’ data, break the protection or overload the service;
  • use automated access, copy or resell the app or its answers;
  • present the assistant’s answers as a doctor’s advice.

Price

One plan, «Family»: €12.99 a month or €124 a year. A new family gets 7 days with everything free, no card needed. After that, without a subscription, the free «Diary» plan stays — entries, photos, videos and cards without the assistant. Until payment opens in the app, everything is free.

The plan includes the assistant with a monthly allowance (the app shows «about N answers left»; it renews on the 1st) — it is not unlimited. One parent subscribes and the plan covers the whole family.

Payment is only through Google Play and only if you choose it. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it; you can cancel any time in Google Play — the plan stays until the end of the paid period, then the «Diary» stays. Refunds follow Google Play’s rules. Cancelling does not delete your records. If the price changes, we and Google Play will tell you in advance.

How the service works

We work to keep the app available and your records safe, with backups. It is a pilot: features can change, and there can be pauses and errors. We announce planned works in the app.

Responsibility

We provide the app with care, as described here. We are not responsible for decisions about the child’s health, treatment or education taken only on the assistant’s answers, or for harm caused by breaking these terms. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, or our liability where the law does not allow limiting it.

Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Data and privacy) or by email — see the Privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms or the law; where possible we warn first and explain why. If we close the service, we tell you at least 30 days before and give you a way to get a copy of your records.

Changes

If we change these terms in an important way, we tell you in the app before the change applies, and the app asks you to accept the new version. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.

Law and disputes

These terms are under Portuguese law; the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live still applies. If something goes wrong, write to us first: hello@lookhowfar.com. You can also turn to a consumer dispute resolution body or a court.
